@Positive Living Inspiration and The Brave Heart Shift teams are speaking up to "Mend 1000 Hearts." Today most children born with congenital heart defects in developing countries will die without surgery.

In 2009 Naomi first visited Mending Kids. After 40 years of avoiding doctors, hospitals and other heart patients, she was moved by compassion when 9 year old  Maria Jose arrived from Ecuador desperately needing scoliosis surgery but her enlarged heart also needed surgery. Both surgeries were successful. Today Maria is in college to reach her goals.

Today Naomi climbs mountains to raise awareness that

1 in 100 children are born with heart defects.

Since 2005, children have been "Mended" in over 68 countries, including the United States
